The garden was designed in conjunction with H&E Architect’s elegant alteration and addition to the heritage style home with rear modern addition in the Inner West, Sydney.

An extended outdoor room created to the rear of the kitchen/ living room with a deck, entertaining area.  A sculptural, fine foliaged Birch feature tree providing a comfortable microclimate; shade in the Summer and sun in the Winter.  The slender form of the Birch tree giving outlook to the bedrooms of the upper level of the home.  

A series of roof gardens created on site.  A roof garden over the garage with tough natives (Banksia ‘Sentinel) and sculptural succulents to provide privacy and lovely outlook.  A roof garden to the new addition of the house with native grasses and pig face to insulate the home.    

One might also sneak up on the roof to capture the view of the city when maintaining.
